"Oh save me from these pale green pants, with nobody inside!"
You all are wonderful. Thank you for responding to my last post. You guys are my lovaaaaaas.

And guess what. NO EMO KIM IN THIS POST.
Hell no, she is dead and buried until the next time her father is a self-righteous ass, which could be in 5 minutes. Burn.

In the meantime. I have a writer’s craft presentation tomorrow, on children’s authors. I picked Dr. Seuss (woot woot!), because he has always been my favourite. And since 9:30 (aka, when I got home from work, aka; the time I SHOULD have been doing my homework at) I’ve been reading all of his books.
My favourite is “PALE GREEN PANTS WITH NOBODY INSIDE THEM”
(Seriously this line – “Now bicycles were never made for pale green pants to ride ‘em, especially spooky pale green pants, with nobody inside them!” – is the best line ever.)

I’m definitely buying pale green pants the next time I’m at the mall.

Ahem.

So here’s my question.

What was your favourite Dr. Seuss book?

Ahahahahaah, I ♥ pale green pants.

There was this one that I used to enjoy so much, with different birds and this whole lot of eggs because this guy was going to make the best omlete ever for his sister. I don't remember the name though. I'll find it. The book was in my little sister's room. Anywho, it's called Scrambled Eggs Super. =) OH, and The Lorax was good. And those stupid Zax in The Zax.
Ahh, Seuss. I do love a good story.

I am sorry I missed the last post, but I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Hmm...I love Dr. Seuss! His quote "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" is something I try to live by. Anyway, books... I love his book called "You're Only Old Once". It is about this old guy that goes to the doctor and all these ridiculous things he has to go through. Not many people have heard of it, but I love it. There is one page where it shows all the pills he has to take...it is amazing!

I was full blown OBSESSED with Wacky Wednesday, having to find all the things that were wrong in the pictures. CLASSIC. I also really liked Horton Hears a Who.

I have another favorite, though far more recent. Last summer I was in a production of Seussical at a children's camp. We, the counselors, got the lead roles, and the kids played chorus parts (Whos, Jungle Animals, Fish...) in groups. It's a camp I've been going to since I was about 6, and now that I'm a counselor, I've gone full circle. I had one kid I was in charge of that I just... I just fell in love with him. He was shy and smart and very quirky, and he needed just a little push to come out of his shell. I kept trying to find ways to get this kid to be as outgoing as the rest of the kids, but he prefered to be mostly inward. Then one day we were reading Dr. Seuss books in a group, and we got to McElligot's Pool, and this kid JUMPED up. It was his favorite Dr. Seuss book and he wanted to read it out loud instead of me. I was amazed by what a book can do for a kid.

Yeah. I'ma fan too.

McElligot's pool has always been one of my favourites. As a kid I was totally in love with the fishs with the chutes that float off the sides of waterfalls. Call me crazy, but I totally remember that.

Green Eggs and Ham FTW. It was the first book I ever taught myself to read.

And Are You My Mother (written under his real name.) It was this lost little bird who thought he was a puppy. :D

Oh, Dr. Seuss is really one of the best examples or literary art, and that's why Seussical would win in a cage match of all flops.

As for my favorite book, I'd say The Cat in the Hat. Cliche, I know, but you can't deny a good story when you read it XD
